Marvin R. Arias (M ’95, SM ‘16). He received the B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from the National University of Engineering, (UNI), Managua, Nicaragua in 1993, the M.Sc. degree in Signal Processing from Lund University, Lund, Sweden in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, (with major in wireless communications), from the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), Mexico City, Mexico, in 2008. In 1999, he joined the Department of Telecommunications and Digital Systems at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering (UNI). Dr. Arias has more than 12 years of experience in signal processing and wireless communications projects, both in academia and industry. Since 2009, he is full professor and academic coordinator of the ICT Management Master Program at the ICT Research Program of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering (FEC) UNI. He has written as author/coauthor more than 25 scientific and conference papers.
