Boris holds a PhD in Telecommunications and System Dynamics with a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Communication Networks from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA. He is also an Electrical Engineer with a major in Electronics and a Masters in Business Administration from ESPOL. He is a Senior Professor of Telecommunications at ESPOL teaching undergraduate and graduate courses within the Master’s Degree in Telecommunications and the Doctorate in Electrical Engineering with a major in Telecommunications.

He is a member and Senior Member of the IEEE since 2007 and 2019 respectively. He is an active participant in IEEE conferences such as Latincom and IEEE APWC, where he has published several scientific papers and has served as Tutorial Chair.

He has actively and unofficially collaborated with the IEEE Student Branch of ESPOL for many years.
