Jesús Vázquez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering awarded at the Instituto Tecnologico de la Laguna (Mexico) in 1994 and a Master in Science (Eng.) in Data Communications awarded at the University of Sheffield (England) in 2000.
He works for the Instituto Nacional de Electricidad y Energías Limpias (INEEL), formerly Instituto de Investigaciones Electricas (IIE) in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico since 1994, where he has been involved in several engineering projects mainly in the fields of electronics, communications and computer systems. He has designed and developed human-machine interfaces, distributed computer systems and real-time data acquisition systems. He has been consultant for several national companies in the oil and power-generation sectors. He has also been project leader in several projects involving the use and integration of 3D modeling and CAD software.
His main areas of professional interest are: data acquisition systems, software engineering, internet technologies, and digital communications.
He has been Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) since 2006, and he currently serves as Morelos ComSoc Chapter Chair
